We are seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing welding processes and systems to ensure high-quality production standards. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively on various projects. The Welding Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing our manufacturing capabilities and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of welding processes
- Develop welding requirements and procedures (PQR’s and WPS’s)
- Ensure all applicable welding requirements are met
- Support robotic welding programming and troubleshooting
- Research and identify Welding Department technology, equipment and personnel needs
- Develop training program for welding personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Welding Engineering Technology (BSWET)
- Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in manufacturing welding
- Knowledge of metallurgy and welding processes
- Sound understanding of welding fundamentals and theory
- Perform required preventative maintenance checks and related data.
- Ability to work at a high level within cross-departmental teams or independently
- Ability to work on a multitude of projects at one time and prioritize
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office
